Frequently Asked Questions

How much swimming will I be doing during the week?
Each session varies between 1-4km (all levels catered for) with there being 10 swim sessions planned and a longer Open Water Swim Adventure swim, subject to weather conditions. The sessions cover both the pool and open water and each session has a different focal point including speed, skills, technique, endurance, recovery, etc. The total distance covered will vary by ability and fitness,

I’m not a good swimmer or triathlete, will this camp be suitable for me?

We have a wide range of swimmers attending this camp. Swimmers will be placed into different lanes by speed and ability. Swimmers will not be asked to do more than what they are capable of doing. The camp is designed to highlight your current ability level and clearly understand what is required to improve on that.

Are non swimming partners able to attend?
Yes. Non swimming partners are welcome to attend for the price of the accommodation.

When should I arrive for the start of the camp?
You should arrive on the Sunday afternoon ready for a Monday morning start. The camp finishes on Friday lunch time.
