New to open water swimming, or want a stronger swim leg in your triathlon? Join us for our first collaborative Expo, designed for people getting into open water swimming and triathletes who want to improve their swim leg. Learn from some of Victoria's leading triathlon and open water swimming experts, and get practical tips and hands-on coaching to help you get in the water with confidence this summer. ━━━━━━━━━━━━ THE DETAILS ▸ When: Sunday 15 November, 8:30–10:30am (please arrive between 8:00 and 8:30am) ▸ Where: Black Rock Yacht Club, Half Moon Bay ▸ Cost: $30 – bookings essential ━━━━━━━━━━━━ YOUR KEYNOTE SPEAKERS SAM SHEPPARD Former Australian Swim Team member, seven-time Pier to Pub winner and record holder, and Rottnest Channel Swim winner. JOHN VAN WISSE Has completed the Manhattan Island swim, a double English Channel crossing and the Arc to Arc triathlon. They'll be joined by the SwimWell coaching team. ━━━━━━━━━━━━ THE PROGRAM 8:30–9:00am | Keynote talks Sam and John on open water swimming: what to expect and how to get started or improve. 9:15–10:15am | Open water training session Build the key skills and confidence to improve your triathlon swim and open water swimming heading into summer. 10:15–10:30am | Questions for the coaches Ask anything, no matter how new you are to open water. ━━━━━━━━━━━━ THINKING ABOUT A WETSUIT? The Great Ocean Performance team will be on hand for anyone who wants to try on or buy a wetsuit. Try before you buy: test-swim a wetsuit on the day for a small fee.
