SwimWell offers you four clinics if you are an  intermediate swimmer. Learn the drills and tools to achieve balance, stability and propulsion in the water to increase your efficiency which means that you will be swimming faster while exerting less effort.

The small group setting makes the clinics a fun and encouraging environment which people will thoroughly enjoy.

Rotation Clinic - Swim from the core

  • How to use the “pull buoy’ for core stability

  • Discover how to engage your ‘inner diesel” engine to initiate rotation.

  • Discover your optimal rotation

  • How to use the  Head lead rotation drill to engage hips and start your engine. (Front snorkel required)

  • Learn how to rotate to extension.

  • Discover how to “skate” down the left and right tracks.

  • Suitable for swimmers who have completed the Beginner Clinic or can swim continuously for 100 - 200 meters

Kick Mastery Clinic – 2 Beat to 6 Beat

  • Learn how to decide on what kick pattern will best suit your needs

  • Discover how to “Kick” from the hips

  • Discover how to do 6 Beat Kick (or constant flutter Kick) in time with your stroke.

  • Learn how to connect a 2 beat kick to your extension for extra propulsion.

  • Work out which kick pattern best suits you.

  • Learn dryland drills to help eliminate knee bend.

  • Suitable for swimmers who have completed the Beginner Clinic or can swim continuously for 100 - 200 meters

Catch and Recovery Arm Clinic

  • Learn how to develop an elbow led recovery

  • Straight Arm vs High Elbow Recovery Arm actions

  • Learn how to reduce rotator cuff injury through correct Recovery Arm movement.

  • How to develop an “Early Vertical Forearm” catch

  • How to maximise leverage through connecting the catch to the hip rotation

  • Discover why high elbows are more important below the water than above the water.

  • Learn the 4 sculling positions to help improve your catch

  • How to maintain constant pressure on the water during the catch.

  • Suitable for swimmers who have completed the Beginner Clinic or can swim continuously for 100 - 200 meters

Breathing Clinic

  • Learn the various type of breathing patterns

  • How exhalation is the key to inhalation.

  • Learn the skill of “One Goggle’ breathing

  • How to rotate to air and not lift to air.

  • The importance of breathing “early” in the stroke.

  • How to not lose Balance during the breathing stroke.

  • How to practice bi-lateral breathing.

  • Suitable for swimmers who have completed the Beginner Clinic or can swim continuously for 100 - 200 meters
